A huge congratulations to Colin Miltner and Lena Roettger for winning the zone God, flag, and country competition this past weekend!! They will both move on to the state competition in May!

Next week is prom spirit week! Monday 4/15- monochromatic- dress all one color Tuesday-4/16 Students dress like a teacher and teachers like students Wednesday- 4/17- dress as the younger you Thursday -4/18 Baseball day- dress as a baseball player or wear favorite baseball team gear. (No spikes or cleats)

5th Graders are starting Wiffle Ball this week. Coach Webb's HS PE class is creating lessons and instructing as a part of their curriculum. Teachers and students did an awesome job collaborating together.

Over the course of three days, 6th grade learned about the parts of a microscope, their functions, and how to effectively focus each lens on different specimen. Great work, scientists! 🔬

Next week is Right to Read Week at NK. Our theme will be the Solar Eclipse and all events and activities will focus on this once in a lifetime event! The following are the spirit days for next week: Tuesday 4/2 - Wear BLUE for Autism Wednesday 4/3 - Wear a Shirt you can Read Thursday 4/4 - We are out of this World! (Neon/Yellow) Friday 4/5 - Deep Space BLACKOUT!

Congratulations to NK contestants Colin, Elizabeth, and Lena who participated in the district level of God, flag, and country Sunday! Colin and Lena will be moving on to the next level of competition in April! 👏🇺🇸

4th grade did a little book bracketology for March Madness and basketball stations on Friday. Out of My Mind was the 4A winner and Rescue was the 4B winner!

2B wore crazy socks today for World Down Syndrome Day!

Thanks to the Extension Agency for providing chicken eggs! It certainly helped reinforce the life cycle and development of a chicken.
